empowering customers, associates and communities
Supporting our customers, associates and local communities is a top priority of our corporate social responsibility program.
Creating a Positive Experience for Customers
Social responsibility initiatives help Ross provide a positive shopping experience for customers. Sustainable operations lower our overall costs, allowing us to deliver customers even greater value. Fostering a work environment where associates can thrive leads to a great experience for the customer.
To ensure we understand the evolving needs of our customers, we make it a priority to create an open dialogue through frequent surveys and engaging with them through our website and Facebook pages.
Giving Associates Opportunities to Succeed
Our greatest asset is the people who work in our stores, distribution centers and offices. We work hard to provide them with opportunities to improve their skills, grow within the Company and get involved with charitable partners in their own communities.

Engaging In Our Communities
We are committed to participating in a positive way in the communities where we operate. We look to contribute in a variety of ways. We hire local residents for our stores and distribution centers. We enrich communities through philanthropic efforts focused on health, education and economic opportunities, especially for families. Our sustainable operations initiatives help us support healthy communities by limiting waste, using less energy and reducing the emissions of trucks coming in and out of neighborhoods.

Supplier Diversity
We value diversity, within our workforce and our supply chain alike. Our membership with the
National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) gives us the opportunity to continually increase partnerships with minority-owned suppliers.
Sourcing and Human Rights
We require suppliers to uphold our ethical standards, both contractually and through enforcement. For the minority of products imported directly through international buying agents, we have additional requirements in place to monitor compliance. Read our policy and practices related to product sourcing and human rights.
